VITAMIN C NATURAL ORANGE CHEWABLE TABLETS - 1000mg

Healtheries Chewable Vitamin C tablets are a buffered low acidity and stomach friendly blend of ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbate.

Regular dosage of supplementary vitamin C assists with a variety of health problems including supporting the immune system and the adrenal glands during infections, stress and overwork situations, along with maintaining healthy gums, teeth, bones, and blood vessels. Vitamin C also encourages the absorption of the mineral Iron.

Vitamin C is a water soluble nutrient and is easily lost via urination and perspiration three to four hours after ingestion, so frequent consumption of vitamin C is essential.

Recommendations for use:

  • Those who are under stress or fatigued
  • To prevent and treat susceptibility to infection
  • High fevers and inflammatory conditions
  • To assist allergies, arthritis, gum disease, and cold sores
  • For wound healing, burns, or pressure sores
  • Easy bruising, broken blood capillaries
  • Heavy metal toxicity or exposure to pesticides and other chemicals
  • Regular consumers of alcohol and cigarettes
  • To assist with bone fractures and heart disease
  • To assist in the absorption of iron
  • Those on medications such as aspirin and steroids as these reduce vitamin C levels

Contra-indications:

  • Chewable Vitamin C contains glucose and sucrose, it may not be suitable for diabetics.
  • Those on medications should consult their healthcare practitioner.
  • Diarrhoea, skin rash, and frequency of urination may occur with excessive doses of vitamin C. Reduction of dose will stop these effects.
  • Vitamin C increases the excretion of oxalic acid and uric acid, common causes of kidney stones. Those with a history of kidney stones should not consume high doses of Vitamin C long term.

Dose:

Tablets may be chewed or sucked. Take one tablet daily for prevention, take the higher doses suggested during infection or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

  • Helps reduce the recovery time for colds and influenza.
  • Helps to build body immune resistance especially if taken in conjunction with zinc and vitamin A.
  • Important for the production of adrenal hormones and the body’s adaptive stress response along with vitamin B complex and zinc. Vitamins C is used up under stress, overwork, or excess exercise conditions.
  • Helps maintain the strength of blood vessel walls, particularly those of the capillaries.
  • Helps promote wound and bone healing.

  • Acts as an antioxidant protecting other vitamins and body tissues particularly from toxins, pollution, and free radicals.
  • Helps the detoxification and excretion of toxic substances, including heavy metals such as lead.
  • Ascorbic Acid is pure Vitamin C that is not bound to any other compound. It is considered the best form of oral Vitamin C supplementation with the exception for those people prone to gastrointestinal distress from acidic compounds.
  • Sodium Ascorbate is a buffered form of Vitamin C that consists of 90% Ascorbic Acid bound to 10% Sodium. This has an alkaline effect and is the optimal form of Vitamin C for those with acidic conditions and where acidity causes digestive upset.

  • Skin deterioration and wrinkling, slow wound healing
  • Iron deficiency anaemia
