Toasted Muesli 1 cup desiccated coconut
¼ cup Healtheries Ground Linseed
½ cup Healtheries Wheatgerm
½ cup sunflower kernels
4 cups rolled oats
½ cup raw sugar
½ cup peanuts
½ cup Healtheries *Almond Oil
2 tablespoons honey
½ cup sultanas
½ cup dried apricots and/or ½ cup dates
Preheat oven to 170ºC. Mix dry ingredients, except the dried fruit, together. Heat the Healtheries Almond Oil and honey together until hot. Pour into the dry ingredients and mix well. Tip into a large baking dish or roasting pan and toast for approximately 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Cool the muesli before adding the sultanas, apricots and dates. Store in an airtight container.
Variations: Any mixture of Healtheries wholegrain flakes may be used instead of rolled oats.
*Healtheries Almond Oil may be replaced with any other nut or vegetable oil.
