Brahmi (Bacopa Monnieri)

  • Brahmi is an Ayurvedic (traditional Indian) herb that has been used for thousands of years to support mental function, memory, learning and concentration.
  • It also has powerful antioxidant properties that can help to protect your body against the free radicals that are generated when you’re under stress.

Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus)

  • Traditionally, Siberian Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus) has been used as an aphrodisiac and energy enhancer, as well as to help improve immunity.
  • Today, this herb is classed as an “adaptogen”, which means it helps the body adapt better to physical or mental stress.
  • Research has shown that Siberian Ginseng helps to increase vitality, support immunity and enhance performance.

Magnolia (Magnolia officinalis)

  • Magnolia helps to reduce the levels of cortisol (the primary stress hormone) that your body produces. This may assist in helping you cope with stress, anxiety and tension.
  • Stress can play a major role in insomnia, so Magnolia may also help improve sleep quality.
  • Other issues that Magnolia has traditionally been used to help with include digestive problems and inflammation. Researchers have identified a compound in Magnolia called Magnolol that seems to be responsible for both of these effects.

Schizandra (Schizandra chinensis)

  • Schizandra is a herb that is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to provide support for emotional stress and irritability.
  • It is also used to help maintain healthy liver function.
  • Schizandra is a herb that is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to provide support for emotional stress and irritability.

Winter Cherry (Withania somnifera)

  • Winter Cherry (also sometimes just called Withania) is a traditional Indian herb used in Ayurvedic medicine as a tonic.
  • Withania helps to balance the nervous system, and supports relaxation and healthy sleeping patterns, especially during times of stress.

Magnesium

  • Your body uses Magnesium to help maintain a healthy nervous system and support emotional balance.
  • Magnesium can also help to relax tense or cramping muscles, and supports healthy, restful sleep.
  • High sugar, coffee, fat, and alcohol intake can reduce your Magnesium levels. Low Magnesium levels can then lead to stress, irritability and anxiety.

Zinc

  • Zinc helps your body to cope with stress and fatigue, and helps with your body’s natural injury healing process.
  • Your body uses Zinc to help it absorb and use B complex vitamins, which means low Zinc levels can negatively impact your energy levels.
  • It is also a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect your body from free radical damage. Free radicals are unstable molecules that your body produces when you’re under stress.
  • Finally, Zinc is important for healthy skin and a strong immune system. It also helps to protect prostate health in men, and cervical health in women.

Selenium

  • Selenium, a trace mineral, is a powerful natural antioxidant that helps protect your body from free radical damage. This can help you to cope with the effects of stress, and may support your heart health, joint health and blood sugar balance.
  • New Zealand has very low Selenium levels in its soil.
