Berried Bircher Muesli

Energise your morning with this delicious and healthy breakfast recipe packed full of nutritious oats, berries and nuts

  • 2 cups Healtheries Bircher Muesli*
  • 1 1/3 cups cold water or fat reduced milk or dilute apple juice
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, raspberries or blueberries 
  • 1 cup low fat natural or greek yoghurt
  • extra berries to garnish
  • ¼ cup toasted flaked almonds to garnish

Method

  1. Place the muesli into a large bowl. Add the water, milk or apple juice. Cover with plastic wrap and soak overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. Place the berries into a bowl and crush slightly with a fork. Add yoghurt to the berry mix and stir to combine.
  3. Place the muesli into serving bowls. Spoon over equal amounts of the berry yoghurt. Top each bowl with extra berries and sprinkle with the almonds.

Serving Suggestions

For a sweeter flavour you may like to drizzle a little honey over top or boost the fibre content with a sprinkle of Healtheries Ground LSA (Linseed, Sunflower Seed & Almond Meal)
