Fruit Tea & LSA Bircher Muesli

It can be hard to find a tasty breakfast option which also provides a good balance of complex carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats when we are short on time or trying to manage our weight. We have taken the guess-work out of breakfast time with this recipe which has endless options when it comes to flavour. Our range of Healtheries Teas allow you to change the taste of your breakfast without adding extra sugar or fat.

  • Healtheries Hawkes Bay Nectarine Fruit Tea*
  • 1/2 Cup of Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 Apple (berries are also great to use)
  • 100g of Low Fat Plain Unsweetened Yoghurt (optional but included in the nutritionals) 
  • Healtheries Ground LSA

Method

  1. Boil the jug and brew your favourite Tea for for 3-5 minutes in a mug, bowl, or individual tupperware container.
  2. Once the tea has cooled, add 1/2 Cup of Rolled Oats
  3. Cover (or seal your container) and allow the Oat and Tea mix to soak overnight or soften while you attend to the children, get yourself ready for the day, or make your way to work with your sealed container in tow.
  4. Top the mix with 100g of Low Fat Plain Unsweetened Yoghurt (for a protein and calcium boost)
  5. Add 1 Tbsp. of Healtheries Ground LSA for a daily serve of healthy fats
