Super Salsa

Jazz up your snack time with this tasty and nutritious salsa recipe, perfect for topping crackers or toasted breads or dunking your favourite KidsCare snack into!

  • 4 tomatoes – may be a combination of drained canned and fresh tomatoes
  • 1 pepper (or combination of red, yellow, orange or green)
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 small fresh chilli pepper – seeds removed
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp pepper flakes
  • Salt to season
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley or coriander
  • ½ Tbsp tomato paste

Method

  1. Chop tomatoes, pepper, onion and chilli.
  2. Add rest of ingredients mix well and let rest for 2 hours or overnight before serving.

Serving Suggestions
