Gluten Free Wrap

Gluten Free wraps are easy to whip up in the kitchen using our Gluten Free Baking Mix.

A perfect option for lunches or mexican-inspired dinners.

  • 2 Cups (140g) Healtheries Gluten Free Baking Mix
  • 1 & 1/3 Cups of Warm Water
  • 1 tsp. Gluten Free Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp. Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Canola Oil
  • 300g Cooked Chicken Breast (herbs and spices are great to add flavour)
  • 1 Cup of Grated Carrot
  • 1 Cup of Chopped Capsicum
  • 2 Cups of Shredded Lettuce

  1. Combine the baking mix, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add 1 cup of warm water to the dry ingredients and mix well until combined. Add 1 tablespoon of canola oil, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Warm a non-stick pan on a medium heat. Add additional warm water (around 1/3 cup) to the mix until it is able to be poured, with a thick consistency similar to batter.
  4. Pour 1/6 of the mixture into the centre of the pan, using a spoon to spread the mixture out evenly in a round shape. If you spread the mixture too thick or thin or it may be prone to breakage. Flip the wrap when it is well formed and easy to get under with a spatula and flip.
  5. When cooked through, remove the wrap from the pan and place on a rack to cool. Repeat step 4 until you have 6 wraps.
  6. When the wraps have cooled, fill each with 50g of cooked chicken breast and your favourite salad ingredients. Wrap each in cling film to keep it in shape for lunchtime.

Serving Suggestions

Choose your favourite healthy fillings and use herbs & spices to add flavour. Hummus or Cottage Cheese are great ways to add a little flavour and moisture to your wrap.

For a dinner option, you can bake your wraps in the oven with your family's favourite fillings to make enchiladas (mince or chicken & avocado are great), or use fresh as tortillas.
