Noodle Cakes with Asian Style Dressing

This recipes uses gluten free pasta to create delicious crispy noodle cakes smothered in an Asian style dressing, ideal for easy entertaining or for a quick meal idea.

  • 1 tsp finely diced red or green fresh chilli
  • ½ cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • ½ thumb fresh ginger, grated
  • Salt to season
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pack Healtheries Simple Spaghetti


  • ½ thumb fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • ½ cup rice wine vinegar (or tamari sauce)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 sliced spring onion


  1. Preheat oven to 2000C (2200C fan bake). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Bring a pot of water to the boil, add the spaghetti and cook for 12 minutes. Drain pasta.
  3. While spaghetti is still hot, stir in the chilli, coriander, ginger, salt, sesame seeds and egg. Mix well.
  4. Lay 6 round piles of the noodles onto the baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes or until the edges of the cakes are golden brown.
  5. For the sauce, mix together the grated ginger, garlic, rice wine vinegar (or tamari), sesame oil and sliced spring onions.

Serving Suggestions

Serve these tasty noodle cakes with the dressing and a fresh salad. You can also make bite sized cakes for healthy party food.
